Located in a crescent shaped half moon bay with relatively shallow water, Koh Kood resort is not only the most natural resort on Koh Kood to stay at, but also one of the safest. Families with children will rest comfortable knowing that there are no strong currents or undertow in Bang Boa Bay on Koh Kood island and that their (early) teenagers can enjoy snorkeling, swimming or kayaking while the parents enjoy a fresh coconut and a good book on the beach or treat themselves to an relaxing afternoon massage. If the kids aren't exhausted at sundown, they will be happy to know that, as of July 2006, ko kood island has full GSM services available and as of February 2008 there even is Free WiFi, enabling them to connect to whomever or whatever they feel like. Please note that the air condition in the botanical garden bungalows can only work between the hours of 18:00 and 06:00, but know that the ceiling fan will be enough to keep you cool and refreshed if you happen to be in need of a quick afternoon nap on Koh Kood island.

Koh Kood Resort is one of the best nature resorts on Koh Kood island. The clarity of the sea water around Koh Kut easily matches that of better known islands like Phi-Phi or the similan islands and the lush vegetation and botanical garden at our resort will make you feel like you are staying (nearly) alone in nature. Koh Kood island has not been overrun by tourists like most of the other islands have been and it will probably be sometime before this can happen.

Directions to Koh Kood Island from the mainland

The Koh Kood resort has joined forces with the Siriwhite speedboat services, which sail form Laem Sok and sometimes Dan Kao on the mainland, to ensure our guests a safe journey all the way from the mainland to Ko Kut island. Siriwhite speed boat currently offer twice daily speed boat or ferry boat transfers to Koh Kood island. The first boat departs from Laem Sok pier at 09:00 to take you to the Koh Kood Resort, while the second speedboat or power ferry departs from Laem Sok at 13:00 stipt to take you direct to our own pier in Bang Bao Bay. A free pick up service from the S.A hotel, the bus station or any of the hotels in downtown Trat is available at one hour prior to departure, but it will have to be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
