De Naga Chiang Mai

De Naga rooms feature warm teakwood interiors and are decorated in Thai silk, upholding the eye-catching Lanna style and enhancing the look and feel of the traditional design. In each room, a Naga art feature adorns the wall at the head of the bed, while an elaborate headpiece depicting a large golden Naga is displayed in the Naga Suite. Having prime location in the centre of Chiang Mai, De Naga boasts views of the city, as well as Doi Suthep.

22 Deluxe rooms:
Deluxe rooms are generously spacious with 30 square metres of comfort and wonderfully decorated with traditional teak wood furnishings. Available with either 2 single beds or 1 double bed, Deluxe rooms are suitable for 2 persons

17 Premier Deluxe rooms:
Premier Deluxe rooms are mostly similar to the Deluxe rooms, but in some room offer more comfort and appeal with the high ceilings and exposed wooden beams, as well as a restful seating area by the window. With 17 Premier Deluxe rooms located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floor, affording each room with superb views of the various sights of the city. Available with 2 single beds or 1 double bed, Premier Deluxe rooms are suitable for 2 persons.

15 Grand Deluxe rooms:
Grand Deluxe rooms offer larger a living space with rooms ranging from 36 - 48 square metres, providing guests with even more comfort and features. Some rooms feature higher ceilings with exposed wooden beams in a beautiful teakwood finish. Additional creature comforts are a larger bathroom that features a separate bath and shower. Available with 2 single beds or 1 double bed, Grand Deluxe rooms and are suitable for 2 persons.

1 Naga Suite:
The luxurious Naga Suite is beautifully designed showcasing a stunning decorative Naga art piece at the head of the bed. This exclusive room offers an ample 72 square metres of space giving guests all they need to stay in complete comfort.

In the days of ancient times, when gods ruled the earth and mythological creatures roamed the lands, ruled the seas, and reigned from the skies, the magnificent Phaya Naga existed. According to northern legend, this formidable serpentine creature, a symbol of strength, opulence, and eternal life, helped the righteous Kings in building the city. As an act of allegiance and obedience, the Naga endowed the kings with vast wealth and power, and thus safeguarding the prosperity of the land. A guardian of the Buddha and protector of earthly waters, the Naga exhibited magical powers that allowed it to take human semblance.
Drawing inspiration from this mystical creature, De Naga Chiang Mai displays an array of Naga throughout the hotel in the form of statues, ornaments and various decorative details. Befitting to the northern region of Thailand, the hotel exemplifies the strikingly exotic Lanna style. Using a distinctly typical Lanna architectural design, which is evident from the steep gabled roof descending from an elongated pinnacle into curved, flame-shaped eaves, the architecture originates from the northern parts of Thailand. The hotel is constructed using teakwood and elevated from the ground in the traditional manner.
  
Throughout the hotel, exquisitely designed Naga are a featured theme, with majestic white serpents with heads decorated in gold to be seen surrounding the water feature and lining the stairways. The Naga is also represented all throughout the interior of the hotel, adorning the walls, doors and tabletops with metallic statues, hand-carved art, paintings, lighting features, and etched into many numerous ornaments and design details.

Where locality is a priority, De Naga Chiang Mai provides this with added convenience. Situated across from Tha Pae Gate in the Old City, the hotel is placed in a prime location, right in the heart of the city.
